Island Paradise
2:00
This design for a new English Country Style Manor House on an island retreat in Connecticut was inspired by the homes of William Tubby, an early 20th century American architect who designed several well-known homes in the area, including Waveny House and the Taggart House in New Canaan and Dunnellen Hall in Greenwich.
This well-appointed French Manor House is situated on a large lot in Greenwich CT, flanked by small ponds and well established natural landscape. Built to replace a home on the site, the decision was made to keep the existing brick landscape walls, and with it an allée of trees and large granite fountain.
This home design is influenced by a number of traditional architectural styles: West Indies, British Colonial, Spanish Colonial, Italian Renaissance, and Spanish Renaissance.
